HPC Control Microcontroller Documentation System Engineer

Kodaira, Japan

Engineering / Full-Time / On-Site

Apply for this job

We're hiring an HPC Control Microcontroller Documentation System Engineer for a global semiconductor company developing flagship automotive SoCs — large-scale chips integrating CPU, cache, memory, high-speed interfaces, AI, video, functional safety, and security — powering the intelligence and electrification of next-generation vehicles.

In recent years, the market and customers have strongly demanded that product documentation for control microcontrollers be usable as structured data, rather than as viewing materials such as PDFs. In particular, for documentation infrastructure that relies on AI utilization, automatic generation, and reuse, a mechanism that can technically guarantee quality, consistency, and reliability is essential.

Our client is working to transform product documentation from "documents for human reading" to "high-quality, reusable data," and we are now recruiting for a specialist position to lead the digitization, structuring, and data quality improvement of our documentation.

[Role/Mission]

Based on a practical perspective in MCU development, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and organizing specifications of development deliverables, including those from offshore development. This role involves considering how to proceed, clearly articulating requirements, and checking deliverables.

[Business content]

-Understanding and verifying specifications based on fundamental knowledge of MCU development.

-Review/check of software development deliverables (code, design documents, etc.)

-Validation and quality check of offshore (outsourced) deliverables

-Organize your goals and intentions, and document them as requirements specifications.

-Verification of consistency between specifications, implementation, and deliverables.

-Identifying and resolving discrepancies in understanding between development and documentation.

*Details regarding the scope of changes to the work location and the scope of duties to be performed will be provided during the selection process.

[Attractiveness of the position]

This position plays a core role in ensuring the quality and validity of product documentation "technically."

It goes beyond mere document review,

-Structured data

-Document generation tool

-Consistency and reproducibility of the entire process

From this perspective, your mission is to support the reliability of the document infrastructure itself.

The biggest appeal is the opportunity to be directly involved in building a next-generation document infrastructure that supports AI utilization, global collaboration, and data-driven manufacturing.

【MUST】

-Basic knowledge of MCUs (understanding the relationship between hardware and software)

-Practical experience in software development

-The ability to read design documents and specifications and judge their validity.

-Experience reviewing and providing feedback on deliverables from other parties (especially offshore companies)

-The ability to organize and describe requirements as specifications.

-Japanese: Native level

【WANT】

-Experience in software, driver, and middleware development for MCUs.

-Experience in creating requirements specifications/design specifications.

-Experience communicating with multiple departments and external vendors

Open to global candidates willing to relocate to Japan.
