We're hiring an HPC Automotive SOC Product Characteristics Evaluation Engineer for a global semiconductor company developing flagship automotive SoCs — large-scale chips integrating CPU, cache, memory, high-speed interfaces, AI, video, functional safety, and security — powering the intelligence and electrification of next-generation vehicles.

About the role

Automotive SoC products are core devices that enable the advancement and intelligence of automobiles, and their importance and complexity are increasing year by year. Accordingly, the role of characterization technology in continuously providing high-performance and high-quality products to the market is becoming increasingly important.
In this position, you will be responsible for the characterization of cutting-edge SoCs, from defining test functions and formulating evaluation specifications to planning and executing evaluation plans. You will also be involved in designing production test specifications for mass production based on the evaluation results.
Through this work, you will acquire advanced test development technology using LSI testers and evaluation and verification technology corresponding to the latest 3nm generation processes, and you will grow into a core person supporting next-generation SoC development.

Responsibilities

Designing characteristic evaluation specifications and performing characteristic evaluations for automotive SoC products.

Definition of product test function specifications for characterization using an LSI tester (ATE).
Definition of Characterization Specifications Using an LSI Tester (ATE).
Performing characteristic evaluations based on evaluation specifications and evaluating the measurement results.
Development of product production test specifications based on evaluation results.

Qualifications

【MUST】

Basic knowledge of digital circuits and understanding of the electrical characteristics of semiconductor devices
A basic understanding of the fundamental operating principles of LSI tester (ATE) equipment and experience in test specification/test condition design.
Basic experience using measuring instruments (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.)
I can speak Japanese - I can have business conversations.

【WANT】

General knowledge regarding test pattern generation, timing settings, and optimization of measurement conditions.
Experience summarizing measurement results using scripting languages (Python/Perl/TCL, etc.)
The ability to formulate test specifications based on LSI design information (such as specifications).
Knowledge of yield improvement and defect analysis
English - I can listen to what the other person is saying.
